Backyard Tent Rental is a tent & event rental company in Newton MA. Owner Jim Mariano is an entrepreneur and former tech / software “geek.” With 17+ years in the tent rental business, Jim strives to run a quality business. Jim Mariano worked in software as a marketer / product manager.  Jim spent his high-school and college summers working for BC Tent in Avon MA and decided to start his own tent rental business after graduating with a Business degree from Merrimack College.  Jim left the software world in 2016 to focus entirely on growing and managing Backyard Tent Rental.

As a small business, Jim is the marketer, sales guy, accountant, truck driver and crew chief. When you manage a small business you have to wear many hats. Jim keeps his business small and manageable so he can give his customers the personal care they deserve.
